Ok, so there’s A LOT being said about content strategy in the online space, and this is by far the biggest misconception I see that prevents you from seeing results from your content...
Thinking that content strategy is your post frequency + the content formats you use + your content pillars. This is like 1% of what a content strategy really is. 👏
And if you’re mainly focusing on these areas? You’ll hardly see any results from your content and may eventually burn out trying to post 2 times daily because that’s how someone “made” 6 figures… 😩
So, this is what you really need to know to build a solid af social media content strategy:
1️⃣ Your goals
It’s called a “strategy” for a reason! Let’s say you’re playing ♟️ ... You can have a strategy to win, but you can also have a strategy to remove as many opponent's pieces as you can, if you know there’s no way to win.
So, before you creating a strategy, think about what are your quarterly or monthly business goals and how can your content help support these goals? Think beyond just posting for the sake of posting.
Each piece of content should have a clear intention tied to your business goals. It’s about creating a narrative that moves your audience towards a specific action—whether it’s clicking on your link in bio, hoping into your DMs, or downloading your freebie .
2️⃣ Your audience
Why isn’t everyone shouting about this? You could post five times a day, but if you don’t know who you’re talking to, it’s like shouting into a void. 💨
Get to know your audience inside and out. It’s more than just knowing their age or location. Dig into their pain points, dreams, and desires.

🔥 What's currently stopping them from achieving their goals?
🔥 How do they envision their dream life and how do they wanna feel?

3️⃣ Customer journey
Do you know what content to create at each step of your customer’s journey. Understanding the customer journey is key to delivering the right content at the right time.
🔥 For the person that doesn’t even know you yet.
🔥 For the person that doesn’t know they have a problem.
🔥 For the person that knows they have a problem but doesn’t have a solution.
🔥 For the person that knows you have the solution but doesn’t know why they should buy from you.
Nail these three components, and watch your content turn into a money-making machine 🤑
